About JoyFULL Movement Yoga
I am a mom, grandmother, veteran, and yoga instructor. In 2019, I was fortunate enough to be selected for a fellowship that came with a scholarship to be used for professional or personal development. I had participated in a Yoga weekend in 2015, and the experience stayed with me. When tying to decide, thoughts and feelings about that yoga experience in 2015 kept coming to the surface and so learning more about yoga seemed a natural choice.
As a veteran, I was really drawn to the YogaFit for Warriors certification. I loved not only learning about yoga but also the science behind it. I have completed both the 140 hour YogaFit For Warriors and 100 hour YogaFit for Warrior Kids certifications. Both of these certifications helped me to better understand of how yoga can bring relief to those sufffering from the long term effects of trauma (PTSD/TBI). I love what yoga has brought into my life and started teaching in late 2019. During COVID, I have taught yoga online for local veterans, at my church, and for my workplace resiliency program and from that JoyFULL Movement Yoga was born. I currently teach gentle yoga and yoga Nidra at a local studio and offer online classes as well. I have completed my 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher Certification as well.
